The Care Workers’ Charity provides financial and emotional support to care workers in the UK

The Care Workers' Charity Stand: K10

The Care Workers’ Charity provides financial and emotional support to care workers in the UK and advocates for improved pay and conditions. Since 2020 we have supported over 9000 care workers with over £5 million in grants. We could only do what we do with our supporters, sponsors and fundraisers.

We have seen some fantastic fundraising this year and have since teamed up with Nexus Media for the 25th National Care Awards. We will give a special award to our Top Individual Fundraiser of the Year and our Top Organisational Fundraiser of the Year during this event.

If you’d like more information or think you or your organisation should be recognised, please check our website here for more details: https://www.thecareworkerscharity.org.uk/top-fundraiser-award/

We have seen people bungee jumping, sky diving, running, walking, swimming and cycling, arranging fun days such as golfing and much more.

We want to extend a huge thank you to the following fundraisers for their tremendous efforts:

  • Iris Care Group's Michelle and Cat, who swam for a mile across Lake Windermere. They have raised over £900 so far, with more coming in.

  • Belmont Lodge Care Centre and Forest Healthcare Ltd went the extra mile to fundraise for us. The teams of staff and families went on a 5-mile charity walk and raised £870, which Forest Healthcare kindly matched, making their total £1740.

  • Beaucare, whose team couldn't make our organised trek, did their own and raised an incredible amount for ourselves and St Gemma's Hospice.

  • Dudley Town Football Club, who donated to The Care Workers' Charity from their annual Sportsman's Dinner. Thanks also to CareTech Foundation, who sponsored this dinner.

  • David Lynes – Unique IQ Ltd’s CEO, committed to a 48-hour cycle to raise funds for The Care Workers' Charity. This was David’s second time doing this event for The Care Workers’ Charity, and we cannot thank him enough for his dedication and slight madness.

  • Abbey Healthcare Limited, Brighter Days Care at Home, Care Home Life and Join Network (Discounts for Carers), who all joined us on our Lake District Trek in May.

  • Operations Team - AngelCare/MNSCare, who partnered with Purchasing for Good to fundraise for The Care Workers' Charity. They set themselves a challenge of miles propelled in any way. Walking, running, swimming, dancing, cycling, and anything else they could think of. The original challenge of 778 miles was blown out of the water with a whopping 5267.07 miles, which is 6.7 times over target. Not only that, but they raised a fantastic £4441.50 for The Care Workers' Charity.

There have already been so many amazing fundraisers in 2023, and we can’t wait to see what our supporters, sponsors and fundraisers do next.

If you have an idea to fundraise for us, please get in touch with us at info@thecwc.org.uk. We appreciate every single donation and fundraising event.
