A/Prof Lahn Straney
Associate Professor Lahn Straney is currently a director at Linniar and is motivated by the potential of data-driven solutions for driving improvements in quality of health care.
Lahn holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Queensland and was a post-doctoral scholar with the University of Washington. He is an adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University, an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and a visiting fellow at the University of Leeds.
Professor Straney has over 80 peer reviewed papers with over 15,000 citations. His research portfolio spans health services research with a focus on approaches to measuring quality of care. Through his role with Linniar, Professor Straney has sought to take a data-driven approach to measuring quality in the aged and social care sector. He is particularly interested in the interaction between clinical outcomes and resident experience of care.
