Tim has gained experience of working with people with learning disabilities in a variety of health and social care settings since 1996.
He qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in February 2002 and worked as a staff nurse at a secure NHS facility in North Staffordshire. This environment provided an introduction to CPI’s MAPA (Management of Actual and Potential Aggression) programme, now known as Safety Intervention. In 2005, Tim was awarded the Specialist Community Practitioner BSc (first-class honours) and took a post as part of the community learning disability team. He’s been working and training at CPI for around 10 years.
