This year, Helen Whately, appointed Minister of State for Social Care in October 2022, will deliver the UK Care Week Keynote address. Helen previously served as Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury and as Minister of State for Care at the Department of Health and Social Care. In her new role, she oversees adult social care as the government works to reform the sector. She will speak about her vision for creating a social care system that provides dignity and high-quality care for all who need it whilst discussing critical issues like workforce challenges, complex needs, and social care integration with health services. She will outline policy priorities and initiatives to build the foundations for a fair, sustainable long-term social care system in the UK.
